Seldon has developed a new nanostructured nonwoven material : “nanomesh™” that is produced in a scalable reel to reel process. Our filtration products are built upon the amazing material properties of the carbon nanotube which include: large surface area, great strength, light weight, high electrical conductivity, rapid heat transport. This unique form of carbon lends itself to processing that transforms the material into an adsorptive media attracting contaminants to its surface.

Seldon’s new fused nanomesh material forms the basis for safe, tested and proven products in three major fluid filtration applications: ground water, fuel and air purification.

Seldon's water cleaning products have the following attributes:

  • Provide reliably clean water, free of bacteria & virus
  • No water is wasted, all the water flowing through our products is cleaned, a real advantage in a time of water shortage
  • High flow rates with low resistance:
  • Immediately clean drinking water, no waiting, effectively removes all microorganisms (virus, bacteria, cysts, spores) in water

New Technology in Development


Water: A gravity feed disaster relief product will be launched this fall which operates without power and can meet the standards of the most rigorous water tests. We have built a prototype of a salt-less water softener. A sea water desalination device is in development.

Air: We have an air filtration media far superior to existing technology in final testing. We remove microorganisms, tiny carbon particles and multiple other contaminants in air in a highly porous membrane.

Fuel: Our fuel media separates water from fuel, eliminates electrostatic discharge issues, and removes bacteria and targeted contaminants from diesel and biodiesel fuels.

Composites: Seldon has recently developed lightweight, strong yarns made with ultra long carbon nanotubes. These yarns are now being enhanced for use in aerospace composites and future filtration products.

Energy: We have built a prototype of an ultracapacitor. Further, Seldon scientists have demonstrated both high pressure storage of hydrogen, and the production of energetic particles, inside a carbon nanotube.

Testing Results

Third party testing organizations and Seldon have conducted tests on new CNT filtration technology in these areas:
